Chapter 30 Part 2:*Kims POV*"Dont? What do you mean dont?" Julie asked. She was looking at me like I was crazy, and frankly, if I were her I probably would too.I sighed. "Look, Joe seemed so happy tonight. Happier than I have ever seen him. If you call him and tell him that David is on the loose, it will ruin his night like it kind of ruined mine. He'll come right over and start worrying and not get to enjoy tonight like he should. He made our date so perfect; I just want him to not have to worry about anything tonight. Okay?" I looked up at Julie, expecting her to yell at me and tell me how crazy I was for thinking like that. Instead, the look I saw from her was understanding.Julie sighed. "Okay.""Okay? You're okay with that? You arent going to yell at me for being stubborn or trying to handle this by myself?" Now I was looking at her like she was crazy."Well I've learned by now that telling you you're stubborn and stuff doesnt get me very far." She laughed. "Plus, I understand what you mean by not telling Joe. I kind of dont want to tell Kevin yet either. He looked insanely happy, and I wouldnt want to take that away from him either."Kevin's understanding side was definitely rubbing off on Julie. I half smiled. "Okay. We wont tell them tonight." I grabbed my ice cream and turned to go to the living room when Julie stopped me."We tell them in the morning. They do need to know eventually, so first thing in the morning. Deal?"I sighed. "Deal." I was not looking forward to that.After a little bit, Julie and I went to bed. She decided to sleep in my room on the floor. She slept pretty well, and I only know that because she snored a little. Me, on the other hand, not so much. Every time I would nod off, I would dream that David was coming, which would scare me into waking up. Eventually I did fall asleep, but not for long. When I woke up the next morning, Julie had already left my room. I figured that she was making breakfast or watching TV. I heard another voice, and knew that Kevin was here, which meant Joe was probably close by, so I was going to have to tell him about David soon. I got out of bed and walked over to my window, leaned on its frame and stared outside thinking about how David was out there somewhere. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didnt hear my bedroom door open and close, because the next thing I knew, Joe had come in behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He pulled me close so I was against his chest, and he kissed my neck softly, before resting his chin on my shoulder."Morning Lovebug." I could feel his breath in my ear, and it made me smile."Hey Joe." I said softly. I could sense that he could tell something was wrong. He let me go and gently turned me around so I was facing him."Hey, what's the matter?" he asked as he brushed some hair out of my face.I looked at the floor and took a deep breath. "Well, um, I have something to tell you, and I dont know how you are going to take it. I knew last night but after our date you seemed really happy, so I didnt want to tell you then, but—""No!" Joe interrupted and pulled me into a bear hug. "You cant break up with me! Last night was perfect!"I couldnt help but laugh. "Break up with you?" Joe let go of me and looked at me."You're not breaking up with me?" he asked.I again laughed at the thought. "No. I would never.""Oh." Joe looked embarrassed, but I thought he looked cute. "So you were saying?"I told Joe to sit down, so he sat on the edge of my bed. I was about to sit next to him when he pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled, but not for long."Look, Joe, the thing I was trying to tell you, is that last night around 6:00, David was bailed out of jail.""WHAT?!?" Joe immediately stood up, accidentally knocking me off his lap and onto the floor with a small thud."Oh! Sorry." He helped me up. Kevin and Julie came running into the room."Is everything okay? What is going on?" Kevin asked.Julie looked over at me. "I take it you told Joe, huh?"Kevin looked confused. "Told Joe what?"So Joe knows that David is out there, how will he react? Will he be mad?
