The Magazine has reviewed the conducive situation that surfaced after Senior Presidential Advisor and Parliamentarian Basil Rajapakse during a visit to India as the Presidents Special Emissary, apprised the Indian authorities of the welfare activities. It pointed out that the pressure by various groups monitoring the Sri Lankan situation and even in Tamil Nadu had eased after this appraisal. Mr. Rajapakse had given details at length on the humanitarian assistance undertaken by the government on behalf of the Northern polity. India has also acclaimed the initiatives taken to supply essential food to the Northern civilians without any shortage. The article in the Frontline magazine had also given in brief details of President Rajapakses interview with the Chief Editor of The Hindu newspaper.
