Jan 7, 2009 - yes they did stop, but take a look at the original and see WHY they stopped. this flick - if you never saw the original - makes you wonder why everything stopped. In the original, Professor Barnhart asked to see a demonstration of power that Klaatu claimed he was capable of - which is why the everything stopped.
