This video demonstrates the day and night system of Gnostaria. The day cycle has been rapidly increased for the purposes of showing off the day to night transitions for this video. The current plan for Gnostaria is to have a 4 hour game day (6 full game days per real life day).Please note that this video is intended as a tech demo and doesn't represent the final production game level. Dec 2, 2008 - Looks awesome.I'm trying to implement a similliar effect to my Torque Game Engine based game. Currently I'm adjusting sun.SetFieldValue("elevation", 0) with a timer, but I don't know how to apply the field.When I open world editor it gets automatically applied. Help? :)

Dec 2, 2008 - You can directly access the sun elevation with sun.elvation and set it to what you want. After you make changes to it you can then call sun.apply(); to propogate the changes.

Dec 3, 2008 - The day / night system is achieved with a combination of effects, transitioning between multiple sky boxes being one of them. We also modify the color of the fog, modify the ambient color of the sun and directly modify how dark or light the terrain is.
