The Black Eye (original 60's live instrumental Indorock recording)In 1964 singer/guitarist Harry Bredow and fellow Eastern Aces drummer Loekie Diks, bass player Tony Lentze and sologuitarist Joop Ketting Olivier decide to leave that band and form a new one together with ex-Twangies singer/guitarist Ruud "Ritchy" Toorop.The band is named the Black Eye, but CBS releases a single under the name of Garry Brandy (Baby Sweet/Do You Know - CBS 1522).The same year drummer Loekie Diks leaves the band and is replaced by Roland Verweij.In 1965 guitarist Rob Boekholt joins the band after Joop Ketting Olivier left and in 1967 guitarist Max Tahalele and drummer Roy de Fretes also became part of the Black Eye.The Black Eye also performed live on stage together with the legendary Hawaiian/Krontjong steelguitar master George "Tjoh" de Fretes.In 1969 the band fell apart, but all bandmembers continued playing in various other bands.
